Description

Speaking of Rare and a Collectible - look here: Corvair 95 Rampside Model Pickup - Wheelbase was 95" Built from 1961-1964 only. Rare 1961 Chevrolet Rampside Pickup - sometimes referred to as the Corvair Pickup. This is not the Loadside pickup, it is the Rampside with access on the passenger bed side. Don't be confused. The Corvair H-6 style motor is in the Rear under the bed. A rear-mounted, horizontally-opposed 6-cylinder (H-6) air-cooled engine that delivered 80 HP and 128 ft-lbs of torque with 145 cu. in of displacement. The Interior Trim, Dash and Door panels are like the 1961 Chevrolet Regular Cab Pickup Design. Very appealing! Black Vinyl seat covering is still present. Google up the 1961 Rampside and learn more. Jay Leno has a very nice Rampside in his collection. The Rampside was a rare & unique design to attract companies that needed an easy way to load up their equipment, spools, etc. Utility companies were among the proud owners! Important: This particular unit was actually used on the Rail Road and carries the stamp KT RR 163 (Kansas RR). It is the only one I know of, in existence carrying this metal stamp placed above the steering column. In addition it still carries the Land-Sharp Kansas City Mo. Dealer Emblem on the back. Miles are exempt. I don't recall what it shows, but it is low and was used on the Kansas Rail Road. I do have the tailgate off to expose the motor. Original, but not running. Has its' dings and dents but not a rust bucket. Clean stepdown designed bed design. Much more valuable than the vans, and harder to find. This is a big project but would be ever so cool. I had all kinds of plans for it and can still in-vision it restored and in a car show. One of a Kind. My loss your gain! I was unable to get a title for it from the previous owner because he didn't get it when he purchased it. After research, I feel like it will bond just find. Comes with a Bill of Sale. Don't miss out on a VERY VERY RARE piece of history here with this Rampside. I am asking much less that I originally planned. No low-ballers, please. Deal pending. 8/11/20
